Product Description:
Each Torrey Pines Scientific hot plate is made with a cast
aluminim chassis that is painted with chemically resistant
epoxy paint. The chassis is designed to keep spills out
of the case. Heating and stirring controls are solid state
with individual indicator lights which illuminate when either
is activated. The controls are well forward of the heater
surface to prevent accidental burns. Additionally, the solid
ceramic heater plate is framed in cast aluminum and is designed
to keep heat from the edge of the heater plate. .
The stirrer features a solid state
control capable of stirring an aqueous solution from 100
to 1500 rpm. The control has an OFF position fully counter-clockwise,
and is continuous over 270 degrees of rotation from minimum
to maximum speed when turned on. The magnet is a circular
disc with twenty pound pull strength and is capable of stirring
more than two liters of aqueous solution.
The heater control has OFF, LO, and
HIGH positions for quick setting, and a smooth infinite
control of about 270 degrees between LO and HIGH settings.
The control will regulate a set point to ±2.5°C.
Control knobs are specially selected
to provide easy use and positive, tactile feel. All units
are fused, and have a 3-foot long detachable AC line cord
with a male plug that matches the local standard. The warranty
is 12 months. .
